Should your ability to post threads here be based on your eBay reputation?

For example, if you are caught getting a bad feedback report from a buyer, should you be blocked from posting here? What if your charge too much for postage? I know I have flawless, perfect stellar feedback (although I don't sell on eBay), so I am safe. What say you?

What practical information are you trying to get from this post??
Should the color of the sky be based on the lint I find in my belly button?
You have finally posted something intelligent. 5 1/2 years. Congratulations. You are the MAN!
No. It should be based on one's ability to effectively communicate , numismatically.

If that were the case, I wouldn't be able to put up all smart aleck answers! LOL
No ............. period.
Well, so far well over half of the respondents state "NO" to my question.
Has it really been over five years? Okay, that's ridiculous.

What about controlling one's ability to buy and sell on eBay based on how many Likes and Flags they have here?
Geez, just when you thought you've heard it all...
No.

No. The 2 have nothing to do with each other.
The logistics of reviewing every membership application based on your criteria would be extremely time consuming. Also, people applying for membership here may not want to reveal their eBay name for security reasons.

Yes, of course. It should also affect your credit score, ability to serve on a jury, ability to vote, and whether or not you are worthy of being counted in the US census. The moderators here will monitor eBay feedback on a daily basis and report it to the various agencies and organizations involved.
I should have created a poll although it does appear more members here are against it than for it.
I just had pancakes for breakfast.
How about:
Should your ability to post threads here be based on how many shares of CLCT you own?
No, not everyone here sells, or even visits eBay.

I didn’t see any for it except as a joke
In read and interpreted that as just the other way around.
I hope our legs are being pulled here.
If not......????????
Way too much time on some peoples hands, completely unproductive and has nothing to do with coins which is what this forum is supposed to be about.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Ummm.... sure. And also a criminal check, financial record, credit score, political stance, your postings on other social media, etc. etc.
This is a coin forum.... where we get together and discuss coin issues, etc. Has nothing to do with ebay, though that is a popular topic at times. While the mods do some policing to ensure someone does not step over the line (political, personal attacks, etc.); but only in regards to the overall context that this is a coin/collectors forum.
I say it’s a great idea. We can also set up some arbitration panels to determine if the bad feedback was justified, whether previous good feedback was legitimate, what amount of postage is acceptable, how fast shipping needs to be, and so on.😉
By the way, I’ve seen numerous eBay sellers with stellar feedback, who sell garbage (including counterfeits) advertised as gems, who lie about the source of the coins and who have hijacked legitimate accounts.

I'm against it and for it. I'm confused. Your posts have that effect on me. This is making my July 4th. hangover all the more painful. Thanks.
I needed a good laugh today.
Why oh why am I reading this thread? Potent stupidly OP

Well, I have been reading it, mostly to delay having to vacuum the pool. [At least I'm being honest, as my better half scowls.]

EBay is a circus full of clowns that throw negative feedback around like it’s chicken feed.
Nope 😂
Ebay has not cornered the market for clowns.

Not only no, but hell no. What's the obsession with perfect feedback? When I decide to buy or not buy from a seller i read the feedback, and the seller's response. I can tell what's due to bad service and what's due to an idiot buyer. We live in a world full of other people, some good, some bad, some intelligent, some dumber than shit. It's on each of us to wade through it and make our way.
Well, yes and no.
Sounds as if you believe in some sort of social credit scoring. Be careful what you wish for.
I knew it would happen.
Yes
. We could then file fraudulent SNAD claims to vote people off the forums in true eBay spirit.
(I’m obviously being facetious.)
It's working well for the Chinese. Some are not allowed to travel outside of their district if their social score is too low.
Maybe we can even incorporate Facebook postings to determine if a member here is more or less worthy to continue posting threads.
My Facebook shines with excellence as at least half of my friends like me.
LOL! You won't find me on facebook!
