I remember when I was looking for a 1/2 Cent Type piece and settled on 1805 as the date I wanted. it took me awhile to find one that was suitable, an AU Large 5 no stems. yours looks pretty clean with a nice planchet, mine has much better detail but some obverse porosity in the field in front of Liberty.

The 1805 half cent is a rather underrated date. It’s scarcer than the 1800, 1804 and 1806. The small 5 stemless is the most common variety for the year followed by your coin and then two small 5 stems varieties which a very tough and rare.

the 1805 is a date from that era which was struck out of its calendar year, distorting actual numbers of TRUE 1805 Half-Cents.
That is a nice half cent... the reverse has great detail...though what looks like a little porosity around the central area. Cheers, RickO
I agree that does look better then a f 12. Nice score
Very nice C-4! This is actually a variety I am rather fond of as well and own 3 in a little higher "details" grades.
Very nice, keets! 👍

Very conservatively graded. I like that. A lot of coin for the money!
