What would this Buff grade?

1926 Buffalo Nickel. What would this coin grade? Your opinions please.

possibly VF to XF
BHNC #203
I see the floor at EF45 with a 50% shot at 50. Great looking coin for a Whiman/Dansco/Library of Coins album set.

I agree, but I'm bad when it comes to Buffalo's

The obv looks AU but the rev makes me think VF+ so I'll say XF

AU53
VF is too harsh for that coin.

That's my guess also.

AU something or other. I suspect some of darker toning may make piece appear to have more wear than may be the case

The hip and flank show signs of use also the hair on the bison's shoulder shows it as well, the Obverse is a nicer strike then the Reverse. Many Buffs get graded by the "reverse" for some reason.
AU58 or low Mint state. Could use a better pic, tho.

Now I'll say AU53.
First picture I thought EF/AU, now I'm more in the AU camp

I would say AU53-55.....Nice pictures....Interesting light reflections along the braid in the first obverse picture. Cheers, RickO
I'm still not seeing AU, XF+ at best . Rim looks worn above " united states " . JMHO

50+/55
I think it's a solid AU
That area is frequently weak because it is opposite the high relief date/shoulder area on the obverse. Just not enough metal or striking pressure to fill both dies.
Collector, occasional seller
We'll ok that makes sense I guess, as I said in the beginning I stink at grading buffalos.
Buffalo's never really caught my attention for whatever reason but I will say that a super high grade example is a very good looking coin.
The others don't float my boat.

AU55
I like it as a 55.
Edited to say I cannot honestly say I see any rub. In hand I could tell you for sure but that coin could be the result of a weak strike. Could just as easily be MS
A solid EF/AU.
LOL.
XF-AU. Depends if you call the weak points wear or weak strike.

AU53 seems about right.
