Woohoo! And one of my submissions moved to encapsulation. So hopefully I’ll get the grades very soon on that one.

Same, but in their statement they went into detail on how they came up with a method to do their work safely. So kudos to them!

    Cool!

I wonder what their inventory looks like for plastic components, RFD inserts, gaskets, prongs, printing material, etc......

good question. I doubt they would reopen without it. We use product form China and haven't had much of an issue in getting materials.

Considering that California has not reached the peak of the epidemic, I think it is premature.

  • BryceMBryceM Posts: 11,863 ✭✭✭✭✭

The thing you posted is just a disease progression model and so far the majority of those have been overly pessimistic (aka - wrong). If they can do it with reasonable safeguards, why not go for it?

Updated every 3 days with actual data. The point made, however, is that, despite the possible error (despite decent CI) shows that the peak has not been reached. As a physician I consider this a grave error. BTW this model by the UW has been shown to be very accurate.

I see Abuelo's point, and I'll raise the ante. We really don't know enough about this virus to really say much about it, period. Not enough people have been tested to have any valid statistical samples. For all I know, it'll be like the flu for most of us. That said, someone I know died due to Covid 19, yet her husband had bad flu symptoms for three days, and was fine after that.

I personally don't believe any of these models, for reasons mentioned above but since I'm old, I'm working from home, and wearing a mask and gloves when out and about deal with others. I try to keep these encounters at a minimum.

One thing is for sure, we can’t solve the problem on the forum here. So let’s not get this thread deleted by going too far off topic. We know there are several sides of opinion and each has some merit.

Back on topic: Now that they have resumed operation is anyone else checking their order status hourly like I feel like I am?
