I like it.
Me too... looks like they may be on sale next week if gold tales another step lower.
That's really nice. Love that date/mint mark combo, and the coin is attractive.
Yep, and it has some bells and whistles too, P40 OGH CAC gold. Prolly not worth the premium but still cool and the holder is pristine.
Whenever I see the 1855 date, I'm always struck by how the last two digits appear italicized compared to the first two. A numismatic mullet: business in the front, party in the back. Great coin, very important type for the date and mint.
What a difference a year makes. The $20 and $5 of this date are almost common (by no-motto standards), the $3 is scarce, the $10 close to rare. Whereas for 1854, it's the $5 that's practically unique, the $2 1/2 that's rare, the $20 that's scarce (and spendy), and the $10 which is almost common.
nice original $20. Has a lot of meat on it for PCGS to originally call it a 40! Looks like she put in some good work without hitting the wall too hard. Before you mentioned the grade i said looked like a 53 to me.
Fantastic $20. Well done!
