Hi Folks,
The last one was so much fun, I decided to do it again!
This is a poll combined with a giveaway. You can participate in either, both, or neither.
First, the poll. Below are TrueViews of three 1950-S Roosevelt dimes I own, all graded PCGS MS67. I like all of them, although I'm still searching for the ultimate coin to fill that slot in my Registry set. The poll question is simply which of the three you like best: coin A, B, or C. You can choose based on any criteria you want.
Secondly, the giveaway. I will be giving away a 1955 Roosie dime, also pictured below. This one is only graded PCGS MS66, but has some nice original toning. Here are the rules for the giveaway:
- To enter the giveaway, simply post once (and only once) to this thread. If you voted in the poll, you could simply post which coin you voted for and perhaps why, but posting anything here makes you eligible to win the giveaway.
- The deadline to post and be eligible for the giveaway is 12:00 noon PST (Pacific) on Monday, January 27, 2020.
- At or shortly after the deadline, I will determine a winner by generating a random number (using random.org) between 2 and the total number of posts as of the deadline. This is post #1. The first response will be post #2, etc. Whoever made the post corresponding to the random number generated wins the coin. Simple as that. NOTE: A second post from a member will be "invisible" for purposes of calculating the winner. A third post from a member will disqualify him/her for the giveaway.

I like the color the best
I like coin B.
I like the toning on the obverse the best.
A. I prefer the cleaner look , not as distracting.
Being one of those people who like color, I have to vote for Coin B

B has the most eye appeal with the toning and what looks like strong luster.
A is OK, but has a few distracting marks and the luster looks a bit muted in the TruView.
C, I'm not a fan of that toning.

I think B has a good strike and nice obverse color.
If coin C did not have the odd obverse toning and the hit on the lower torch I would have chosen that one for the great strike and reverse color.

I tend to avoid toning that is mottled or contains harsh contrasts. I find the obverse of A to be more even and warm.
My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.

C for a great strike (stronger than B.) and more wild color. The blackened rim turned me off of A.

Love the sunset toning on C, notwithstanding the hit on the reverse.
I like A. The toning is more uniform in appearance on both sides.

Its darker obverse rim tone and lighter center make for a very attractive "pop" to my eye that the others don't have.

All are nice, but to me B is the standout of the bunch.
A - no distractions
When gold and silver move together, it signals the coming end of fiat money.
Coin B has a well struck reverse, and I bet the obverse looks sublime in hand.
B, I like the colors.
Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.
coin A is clean. But it is trumped by the eye appeal of coin B in this instance
