Might not be the right place to ask, but I am new to coins. I was lucky enough to snag one of these. Considering getting it graded to flip. What the grading process? I tried to check out the websites but got overwhelmed and don't quite understand all the memberships and stuff required.
Just go to Ebay and sell it start around $1500.00 on a Buy It Now sale. That should put you ahead of the game!

A quick look at the 1995-W population report and the population report of this coin will tell a lot of the story is yet to be told.
NGC has graded 5,652 1995-W's, of which 609 are 70's.
PCGS has graded 4,379 1995-W's, of which 382 are 70's.
That is a total population of 10,031 grading events (in 20 years!! So many of these are still out there in the wild) and 991 70's out of the ~30k mintage, assuming no resubmissions, which I am sure there have been hundreds of. That is 9.8% of the grading events resulting in a grade of 70.
In contrast, of the issue in question today, PCGS has already graded 153 examples, of which 93 are 70's. Assuming that ratio holds out, 60.7% is a LOT more 70's.
Further, I believe these coins will be submitted en masse, chasing the hype of a 70, and prices will settle to $500-$750 a coin for a 69, within one year, with 70's being no more than $2,000, and a total graded population well in excess of 5,000 coins within a year.
It does feel like a bubble right now - prices have been going up by about $100 every day on eBay. How much do you think a signed version would go for?
I don’t think any have come to market yet
Nevermind, there is a signed PR-70 on eBay priced at $25,000 LOL. No buyers yet

Its from 1 of maybe 610 coins distributed by the Mint at the Baltimore Show last Thursday.
Then afterward you have to get into another special line/room between 1-2pm to meet Mr. Ryder and have it autographed.

I think this is a fairly reasonable estimate, although I don't think that the 60.7% rate is accurate relative to submissions.

Mine arrived at my local post office this morning but it's not going to get delivered until Monday? Fedex smartpost is trash
Every estimate I've seen so far is longer than it actually takes. My guess is yours will arrive tomorrow, saturday at the latest.
My estimate was tomorrow but it arrived today. So not everyone
Mine was estimated as Monday the 25th and arrived this morning! It's on it's way to a board member I had committed it to and I am sure they will be happy.
Ever have the gut feeling you just let a PCGS PR70 go?

What goes up must come down, I think eventually buyers will get fed up with all the reneging going on. 2 sellers reneged on me.
I think a lot of buyers/sellers now are speculators. I think there will be a pull back once they get out of the market. I'm both afraid not to sell into the speculation and afraid to sell into it.
Since a lot of these soulless speculators are willing to break contracts, how many will return coins if the price bubble bursts? On the other hand, we may reach a price level that this coin never sees again.
Wow they say they already got my coin for submission. Was not suppose to get there till Friday. Plus they take up to 10 days before they receive them. This was super fast!

I've heard Minshull trading was offering $950 today via check. That's pretty much guaranteed if you want safe money.
Quick question...I opened 1 box...and I'm now the proud owner of Cert. # 00407; do we know if the first 100 (numerically 000001-000100) were signed...or if 100 certificates were randomly chosen and signed?
And how much of a premium does having a signed cert add...if you get one?

I'm one of these sneaker resellers that jumped on the hype for this coin. I can tell you that there are no bots that ran the mint site at launch. It was mainly just people monitoring to see when it would drop
We did have an advantage over most people as we had a link that would add directly to cart
I'm still amazed at how well it's done.
I managed to get two of these myself with a third being canceled
Being from the UK though prices seem to be a bit less for us on eBay. Even with international shipping.
Do the mint’s terms allow bot ordering? IMO, It’s one thing to lose fair and square to another human. It’s totally different to losing to a bot which may not be allowed.

Of course not, but there's really no way to tell if the bot's only placing one or two orders. The site doesn't even have anti-bot measures like captchas.

Hello and thanks for joining us. Although most of our collectors would not be too happy to find out the truth, but at least we do have a new generation of coin enthusiasts coming our way. For better or worst, please save one coin for yourself if possible and feel our passion for this hobby.
Mine was delivered one day early. It was left on the front porch. Luckily in did not rain. Don’t trust delivery dates and check often to see when it gets delivered. Not the normal style package but more of a small square box and not the normal flat box. More of a chance of it rolling around.

Not from the coin show but someone just posted one of the first 100 signed (number 50) on ebay for the cool sum of $225,0000.00

Could be worst - could be a PR70 COA #001

"And how much of a premium does having a signed cert add...if you get one?"
there's one on ebay for $225,000 or best offer.
Realistically i think a confirmed top 100 signed cert coin will go for 15k'ish. the #1 cert could bring in 50k+.
obv nobody is paying 225k, even for the #1 cert.
Mine arrived y'day, the COA number was 05671.
Isn't possible for someone to fake a COA? These aren't embossed, just printed on good stock correct?
Well, you'd also have to forge the signature.

I didn't see anthing this AM...
I think that does it for me. Alas.
sad day in mudsville
I will keep trying until it says sold out but I am not faster than a bot. They are even checking restock now.
That’s very disconcerting.
Do the mint’s terms allow bot ordering? IMO, It’s one thing to lose fair and square to another human. It’s totally different to losing to a bot which may not be allowed.
On the actual day the 14th they bought so many. And this is from just one group I've seen. It is very disconcerting.
Of course not, but there's really no way to tell if the bot's only placing one or two orders. The site doesn't even have anti-bot measures like captchas.
Bot trolls trolling about bots?
Inception lol
Bots can get through captchas easily nowadays that doesn't really prevent bots.
as the site doesn't ban for refreshing a lot the guy probably made a simple script to just refresh till it was in stock and checkout.
The groups have monitors so as soon as stock is loaded they are notified.
