Should PCGS have a PQ grade?

Just ran across the following Hallmark slab which is the first time I've seen a TPG use "PQ" in the TPG grade.
Has any other TPG had a formal PQ grade?

True, I guess another option would be to rename + to PQ. Somehow, PQ sounds more fun and part of collecting history to me.
PCGS is already PQ...50 bucks that coin was white when graded...I just burnt down a J and DoorDashed a calzone from the Sandbox...now back to the new Star Wars stream on Disney+

Let us know how you like it. I've always wondered if Star Wars coins would get more attention from TPGs. My favorites are the Power of the Force (POTF) coins. It would be great to be able to get TrueViews for POTF coins

Since there are already plus grades, any so-called “fun” and appeal to “collecting history” would be more than offset by confusion and redundancy. Frankly, I think the idea is silly.

Grading is already subjective - no need to add further confusion.....PQ is just another term for 'eye appeal', an incredibly nebulous term. It amounts to telling people what they 'should' like....Cheers, RickO

I believe they already have that with the plus grade.
Well the idea would be to convert the plus, not add something different then. But I do think that now that + has been established, the opportunity to have a PQ grade via a rename is much lower.

Do you not feel comfortable deciding for yourself what looks good and what does not? The answer to your question is that PCGS already does this with market grading, they already tell you what to like by bumping grades for eye appeal.

As for a PCGS PQ designation, I have advocated an original surfaces designation for at least 15 years now... Enough to the point that folks unfortunately are tired of reading about it. And today, it is clear that that ship sailed and the opportunity has been lost at the expense of those that enjoy originality as to those that are unable to recognize processed coins that should not be slab worthy. And that is the direction we are going...

I have a Boone commemorative half dollar in the same type of Hallmark holder. It is graded MS64PQ and described as Blast White on the lable. I bought it when blast white was all the rage. It has toned in the holder very similar to that 1953 Franklin. But only on the obverse. The reverse is still......blast white! Thank God.
Looks like the holder PCI used. Appears to tone coins like it as well.

Actually I have a few with both CAC and PQ stickers and I can still read the date, grade and even see the coin.
Slab is getting a little crowded...
