My sister bought a condo on the beach just 1/2 mile from the convention center—so I’ve really got a good excuse to start attending more LB shows. And my 3 year old loves playing in the surf !

I spent most of Thursday on the bourse, and a few hours today, too. Lots of cool coins to see and consider. A few newps were grabbed but I’ll focus on some Trade dollar fun....I had Trade’s on my brain for most of the show.

I sold some special widgets to John/CRO. And I spent time drooling over his doily-slabbed proof 63 (yet clearly better than a 63) Trade dollar. It’s so nice in so many ways. No haze or distractions. Lovely rim tones. Super contrast. Just....perfect.

Here’s John’s pic....NOT MY COIN. (sigh)

Speaking of proof Trade dollars, Mike/Illini also had a gorgeous example for sale...a 64 DCAM old blue label. Another just stellar example. Also with nice rim tones. Actually very similar to CRO’s in its eye appealing attributes and character, but with a bit deeper mirrors as you’d expect with a DCAM.

Here’s Mike’s pic....NOT MY COIN (sigh)

.......But I did pick up this pretty MS example from Don Rinkor. Over my last three larger shows I’ve bought something from Don. This one has super luster along with some vibrant sapphire and auburn toning on the rims and speckled throughout its devices. So while I couldn’t grab one of the proofs, I’m pleased with this MS63-CAC. It’s a keeper.

And a TruView that is darn accurate:

That’s it!
