Did trade dollars ever circulate in Russia?
or any country outside of China? I only ask because I saw this listing for an UNC trade and its from Russia.
Any theories as to how it got there?

Among many practical details, they used a Type 1 Reverse, which was last used in 1876, not even going into actual reverse dies by date.
Photos for posterity:
Looks like the typical counterfeit trade dollar being produced in China these days.

It is long past the time to consider buying raw Trade Dollars unless you are a true expert in the series. This is especially true for anything with a "CC" on it.
I am glad I got the Trade dollars I wanted long before the counterfeiting tsunami.....Cheers, RickO

Not even a good fake. The more recent ones allegedly coming out of China are much more deceptive.
