Nice! What's it worth? Never mind, I just found out. WoW! This has to be one of the rarest coins that have been posted in a long time. What a treasure to possess.
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Estimated total population for the ‘62-S is 50! Double wow!
That is a PCGS estimate and may be a little out of date as NGC claims to have graded 39. Still a rare coin and very desirable. Apologies to our host and I do not visit NGC often and cannot vouch for their accuracy, but when considering a purchase I check survival estimates from both services.

Less than 100 known...atta boy! love it. There was a 1868 just sold on Heritage last weekend for about 2K, another less than 100 known. There is no better rarity/price deals in numismatics than lower graded $5 half eagles.
I looked at your set and have already been looking for one for you. Bologna sandwiches aren’t that bad.

@ranshdow. Like I tell my wife, it’s an investment honey I can sell if I need too. And if I really want to sleep on the couch I’ll say something like, you can’t sell those damn shoes. 😆

Agree. Should have checked earlier.

Exactly. I do not either. Was in the middle of something else when I made and hit the post comment; more than likely Au. Like now.
Not sure we will ever know the exact number of survivors. NGC claims to have graded 39, PCGS Coinfacts shows 51 PCGS coins. There must be some raw ones out there and some that detailed, maybe some graded by other companies. While some may have been to the grading services more than once, I am not sure anyone can give more than an estimate of survivor numbers. Suffice it to say it is very rare and that coin is lovely. Nice pickup.

Nice surfaces for a coin of that grade. Fewer circulation marks than would be expected.
Thanks everyone! A proud addition to my set

@hemispherical. You gotta ask yourself one question. Used Mercedes or a used gold coin. Do you feel lucky, well do you? Punk!
Gold. Drive a gas-guzzling truck!
Clint Eastwood.
@Hemispherical . Good answer, me too, on both accounts.
