... to CRO in time to pick up a coin!
As many of you know, Coin Rarities Online has some nice coins and when John sends out his 'Early Bird' notification, many of those nice coins are gone within minutes. Unfortunately, the notification goes out during the work day and most times I am not able to reach out to check on a coin before it's snapped up by someone else (maybe even by some of you!).
Today was different! A dozen minutes after the email was sent ... I saw the email and WOW ... I saw a winner. I responded and then called John. The coin was still available ... woo hoo! While not cheap ... it's a great coin for my set and I look forward to having it in hand ... and then I'll share more information.
Thanks, John!
Edited to add ... images are posted below.

Was it the Benjamin? If so, congrats on beautiful coin! If not, congrats on getting through?
Yeah, the Franklin stood out to me as well.
No ... not the Franklin and that is a beautiful coin! I think it was gone before I called.

maybe he'll deliver it in that cro jet
Okay ... a hint ... the date started with a '1.'

Is the next number an 8?
Well had I logged in on time, I would’ve liked the seated dollar....but it’s gone
Don't forget to ask for a hat...
. Took me 3-4 orders from CRO before I remembered to request one.
Thanks for the tip. I will ask John to see if any are still available.

I liked a few of the gold that were already on hold
Glad you got one @astrorat! With his following, it can be tough to get a piece!
This is the one I wanted and still want, but missed:

Currently, this Merriam Good for a Scent token stood out to me on their site but has also been sold.
Oooohhhh ... I just got notice it's on its way!
Edited to add ... oh yeah ... with a hat!

Totally agree on several points that were made in the OP;
I receive the email while at work
There are LOTS of beautiful coins listed
They are usually gone by the time I get to view them
Congrats on your acquisition...whatever it may have been.

LANCE!!!!..... So glad to see you back on the boards!
I remember seeing that gorgeous 1818 Half when John’s email went out, congrats on picking up that beauty...and getting the plus, too. Very well deserved.
I have a feeling I know which coin Astrorat was VERY lucky to get, no doubt before lots of others called in to try and order.
Congrats!
Dave
I've noticed my EB usually trickles in 20-30 minutes after other collector friends are asking me my thoughts on some pieces
@astrorat....Congratulations....I look forward to seeing your new coin - your excitement is palpable...Cheers, RickO
Yeah! Along with a really cool navy hat, this was in the package from CRO ...
And here is the TrueView (slightly desaturated relative to the CRO images)

And @drddm was right about the coin!
