Purchased this attractive 5 Ounce Silver Octagonal Proof Panama-Pacific Medal for a small premium over Bullion at this weekend’s Houston SW Money Show in Conroe, Texas.

It’s a beautiful design that commemorated the 100 year Anniversary of the original 1915 (MCMXV) Gold $50 Pan Pac Union.

    Love the design and I bet it's a beauty in-hand. Is it edgemarked with weight and purity? Or is there a COA?

    @Weiss In reply to your following quoted question, this Pan Pac silver medal is marked “5 T.O. 999 Silver” on one of the Octagonal edges and “S/N 01791” on another. The other 6 Octagonal edges are Reeded.

    It came with a purple velvet hinged-closure case with no COA, and may have been produced by APMEX (based on their web site).

    OP, there is a 10 oz version that comes in a wooden box.

    @MKMan Yes I see that there was a similar design 10 ounce Silver Pan Pac Octagonal Medal made.

    Main difference is The 10 Oz version has “ 10 Troy Oz .999 Silver” on obverse, instead of “Fifty Dollars” as mine has.

    Found following👇reference photo in Heritage Auction archives for comparison purposes.
