Called Mint’s CS and spoke with a pleasant young lady about about how long they will be on sale for. She had to put me on-hold to check and... . . . . . . basically they do not know. Only could tell me that as long as it is on the website it should be available. A few other questions and basically the same response. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
The only obligation the Mint has is to strike the coins in 2018. There is no sunset on how long they can sell the coins. (If you'd like a 2016 ASE Proof, you can still get one on the Mint's site.)
Commems come off sale on Dec 31 because it's specifically stated in the law. No other product gets that treatment.
Just like the '99 SBA proof that stayed on the Mint's site for decades... Or at least it felt that way.

The Franklin Mint minted proof medals and ingots for the 50 states, of the presidents, the first ladies, birds, flags, banks and greatest inventions of all time. This was back in the 1970-80's. What took the US Mint so long to catch up?
Not the Mint. Congress.
Stop blaming the Mint for congressional crap mandates.

Anyone’s order shipped? Just seeing if any will arrive before Christmas.
FWIW.
The coin says “American Innovators” the US Mint’s description says “American Innovation” the law states “American Innovators”
Actually, it's in the US Code as:
Redesign and issuance of $1 coins honoring innovation, innovators, and pioneers from each State, the District of Columbia, and each territory.
and within the law itself:
“(i) An image or images emblematic of one of the following from one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, or the territories of the United States:
“(I) A significant innovation.
“(II) An innovator or pioneer.
“(III) A group of innovators or pioneers.
I think I remember seeing this brought up someplace else, but I can't find a reference to it...

I'm still calling it an Innobuck.
I remember reading something about the debate on that word. Do not remember if it was in the meeting CCAC or CFA and it was right before they did the second call for more designs. I think.
“Innobuck” captures the coin perfectly, IMO.

Good question. For $6.95 makes one wonder how the proof will arrive.
I agree with Dpoole, when is the US going to finally eliminate the stupid $1 bill? Until they do it is even more stupid to make more $1 coins. Ted Kennedy is dead, we don't owe Crane paper any more political favors.

I got a shipping number.
So while that means I could get the package by the 24th, it's a holiday, so it's post Xmas...
Went and checked and mine is still processing. Looking back at your order number mine is about 3500 after yours. Maybe get mine in time for the Apollo release.
Pulled the trigger on a couple proofs and roll. Not much downside, I'm mainly interested in the OBVERSE fields. High quality pieces may be attractive. We'll see!

I ordered one mini bag of each P & D. Not too much downside, and I'll probably give a few out in change at my table at coin shows and also sell them for $1 each at my coin club and at shows as a little goodwill gesture and hold back a few rolls for a cheap speculation.

Does it include any from the mint stores? Did they sell any at the opening event?
The Sales Report is supposed to be all sales through Sunday. I assume ( I know, dangerous ) this would include through all outlets. It may be complied by the fulfillment company only. That would include anything that needs shipping....... on line and phone orders. I don't believe they sell any at the opening event.
This leaves me with a quote from Schultz - I know nothing !
I dig the open air nature of the obverse. It’s unusual and it’s untypical of other issues.
A very esoteric design that offers a cheap high. Fun coin for the end of the year.
Uh Oh...maybe it's the pics and lighting, but looks rather...Uh Oh. Hope the proof looks better.

I already got some plans with these coins and the grown kids of mine. I think it is going to be great to share with others and especially this time of year and a few birthdays next year.
From shipping label to shipped and should be here Wednesday!

I think it is the pic, lighting, and magnification level. The specs are the same as the Sacs and if the finish is the same it should look similar.

These were from rolls?
I see few MS-70's in this coin's future...
FedEx has declared I'm now to receive my proof by the end of tomorrow. Either they upgraded the package at the FedEx distribution center, or someone's been drinking too much Holiday Punch at the office Christmas Party.
I'm leaning toward the drinking too much. I will happy to be surprised, though...

Mmmmmm, not to be critical, but you got it for $12 over face. Spot for a brassbuck is something less than 10 cents...

The sponsoring Congressperson is listed in the link above if you want to congratulate him or otherwise.

They had to have thousands of those 1999 SBA proof plastic clamshells laying around...

USM062245xx
Maybe they are minting to demand.....THAT would be interesting
My order # USM062226xx
Mine shows it shipped today at 2.08pm
The label has been created, status will updated when shipment begins to travel.
It seems to me the recent McDonalds Mac Tokens generated more enthusiasm than this US Mint token.

It will be interesting to see if/what the counter stampers generate on the obverse. Wide open canvas to work with.

Shipped, looks like will have coins in hand by 10:30 am tomorrow
Interesting.

No shipping data, yet. Still in the processing queue.
Called. They have everything they need: name, address, and the $. Had a bunch of orders and should be shipped soon.
According to UPS, I should have mine Wednesday.
That was quick considering that I ordered one day later than others here.
My Saint Set
Did you pay for expedited shipping? (I think that's the only way it's going to be shipped UPS...)
FedEx just got my package, even though the tracking number was generated on Sunday.
FedEx says Saturday.
FedEx doesn't know our post office. It will arrive the 26th or 27th...
I think there were 4 options.
I checked the 2nd box down...$11 maybe???
(My order is for 1 bag & 4 rolls)
Also, I can't do FedEx here because they are afraid of my house.
My Saint Set
Of course, Overnight shipping. Change of plans.. Will be picking up from UPS at 1:00
If no pics posted, will do upon return.
Well finally a tracking number... label generated.
Will this coin be offered in the 2019 proof set? Will unc versions be made dated 2018? Or is this the only chance to get one?
Proof Buffalo Registry Set
Capped Bust Quarters Registry Set
Proof Walking Liberty Halves Registry Set
This is the only chance to get one with a 2018 date
...and the reverse. The later state coins will have designs from the states and territories on the reverse.
Cool. I like the paper roll design.
True, the wrappers are cool
Thanks for the pic @mas3387. That was quick! All that open space.
Now I need to see a proof.
Still at “label generated”.
Lot's of open space to take the hits...
Sorry no Proof coins, their all shiny 69's or 70's
I already see there will be questions coming in asking about...
...die chip?(JK)

...machine doubling/doubled die? (IGWT)
...bag hits?
...grease? ($)
and the general... what error is this?
I have nothing to compare the order status with but that looks pretty significant for 2 1/2 days. Started at 1200 on the 14 Dec.
Does it include any from the mint stores? Did they sell any at the opening event?

Super cool...I can't wait to get mine tomorrow.
They'll be fun to tip with & my little nephew is going to love getting a bag for Christmas.
My only dig on the coin is that the designer's initials should not have been placed in the fields.
Other than that, the obverse is great.

Uh Oh...maybe it's the pics and lighting, but looks rather...Uh Oh. Hope the proof looks better.
Yet another person blaming the Mint for another Congressional mandate.
Please read this thread and the one that created it. This was all congress from the coin to the design.

Yes, roll coins... Screening today, few rolls and a few bags
Maybe it just was not meant to be. Might NOT get it today.
