Which quarter looks the best?

I'm posting images of 1/2 of a quarter's reverse. Which is the nicer coin to you?

Sounds/ looks like a trick question, so top rules
Sure looks like the same coin to me with the angle of lighting changed.

Same coin, besides it's impossible to make a judgement from these photos of only part of a coin

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Defects are the same on each -- it's a tie! Bottom pic is easier on the eyes.
Agree with it being the same coin. Dings by the claw and ding on top of the R in dollar seem to match.
Interesting to see how the “A” in America appears so vastly different.
Unless there is something “special” about the coin... spenders. If I had to pick the it would be the top because it is probably the more realistic pic of the coin.
Same coin

Gosh, never seen a gold quarter before!

The bottom image is better of the same coin.

Same coin but the first is pre-conserved and the second coin is post-conserved. I like the second one better.

Same coin, so neither one for me.
I thought of this, as well, but my guess is that it's the lighting and the angle.

"They" gold plate them all the time as a novelty.
Actually, get accustomed to looking out of the box. If I take an image of the front end of two different cars and ask what design you prefer, it should be easy. Just as easy to answer this poll without seeing the rest of the coin or the edge. You only have two images to compare here.
Good catch, this is the same stained coin. The bottom image is the better one. It is taken with the coin in a different position to hide the stains - sort of like what can happen in an Internet auction.
This happens all the time on E-Bay. Astute sellers will change the lighting on LIBERTY on pre 1916 Buffs, all of which are struck weak as designed.
This tricks the buyer into thinking the coin is a bolder strike.
How do I know?
I ain't tellin.

So, is there a way to remove said stains? That would make this thread very interesting.

I know there is no straight answer to your question ever so I said #2 but I think neither
Same coin. I didn't look close enough before I voted.
I failed this test.
Are you bored?
Bottom image because better photography used on same coin.

unsure of it. looks like the same coin, jmo
I could see it was the same coin, but prefer the second picture. Cheers, RickO
