Defects are the same on each -- it's a tie! Bottom pic is easier on the eyes.
Agree with it being the same coin. Dings by the claw and ding on top of the R in dollar seem to match.
Interesting to see how the “A” in America appears so vastly different.
Unless there is something “special” about the coin... spenders. If I had to pick the it would be the top because it is probably the more realistic pic of the coin.

Same coin but the first is pre-conserved and the second coin is post-conserved. I like the second one better.

Actually, get accustomed to looking out of the box. If I take an image of the front end of two different cars and ask what design you prefer, it should be easy. Just as easy to answer this poll without seeing the rest of the coin or the edge. You only have two images to compare here.
Good catch, this is the same stained coin. The bottom image is the better one. It is taken with the coin in a different position to hide the stains - sort of like what can happen in an Internet auction.
This happens all the time on E-Bay. Astute sellers will change the lighting on LIBERTY on pre 1916 Buffs, all of which are struck weak as designed.
This tricks the buyer into thinking the coin is a bolder strike.
How do I know?
