Here ya go folks, the coins are out for all to see...There are a few marks in the plastic, not on the coins themselves. Enjoy and feel free to comment!!! (Drum roll)

    Interesting.
Looks like these are in poly bags and not in the old cellophane bags that imparted many hairlines.
Also looks like there are no cameos in the bunch - was hoping for one or two.

How do the staples look on the bags? Rusted?

I can't believe that crate is sitting in your house undisturbed. I'd have been in every one of those boxes and envelopes within a few days of acquiring them. Like a kid who knows where mom hid the presents. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted as you open more. I'm excited for you!

Haha thank you all,. The kids call that daddy's treasure chest. I will be opening more. I was a bit let down by the no cameo appearance, but that's okay they are gorgeous coins.

My 1954 proof sets were in those same poly bags. It is a very hard year to find Franklin DCAM's.

I prefer the cello bags to the poly bags. The poly bags often imparted unattractive toning on the coins, especially the silver, that can't be dipped effectively.

Good looking coins. Especially glad the cent didn't get weird over time. Nickel looks clean.

Nice coins.... It is fun to open those old packages.... In my possession, they never get old...and if I acquire an old set, it is opened right after I get it.... :D Cheers, RickO

Ok we're ready for the next one. Don't hold out, we know you have a whole box! This should become a once a week or once every two weeks event! :#
