One of, if not the most sought after DDO 09 > 40 I believe.
NICE example for sure...I wish you the BEST on your reconsideration
efforts, for sure. Talk about a nice rarity !
Cool coin. I think your coin was in a cardboard display where the back of the coin was stuck/glued on the reverse. Looks like residue was removed with acetone or something similar, leaving some of that reddish tone on the reverse, and explaining the contrast in toning from obverse to reverse.
I could see that being highly likely.
Here's one with a similar toning theme. Came out of a cardboard display and glued in the back.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

Now thats a color you dont see often. Really dig the look.

Despite my aversion to being cat-herder I hasten to point out that we have skipped the 1909-S VDB. Anybody got one (I currently do not)?
Kind regards,
George

Hard to find with nice color/eye appeal. Or outrageous money. I can only spend so much lol

In other news, I believe we are up to 1911-S. And I swear I'm gonna stop catherding. Maybe.

AMAZING 15-S!!!!
Still looking for a decent one for my set. That is def one of the harder dates in the series to obtain with color/eye appeal.
I was surprised at the 64 grade. I can see this in a 65 holder. It’s in the PCGS room for the next 30-40 days. Hoping for good news.
