NGC Slab Reverse Gold Logo

I believe they are only on the 2.1, 2.0, and 3.0 holders. I have really started to love the coins in these generation holders. Post yours if you have any...

    When I purchase coins in holders from ATS...they don't stay that way for long.

    When NGC first opened, their grading was very conservative. The black insert holders reflected the most conservative standards overall. Very few were issued, and fair number those were crack-up victims making them quite rare today. You might compare these early NGC holders with the PCGS rattle holders.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    I believe I have a couple of these old NGC holders.... I think one is a gold coin.... dang, now I will have to check...Cheers, RickO

    Earliest I have is after they moved to the hologram that usually gets peeled off by inventory stickers.

    really wish NGC would go back to these style of holders. The prongs are ok but as we all know, they can damage certain type of coins....
