Will we ever see US Mint medals honoring Voyager, Hubble, Cassini or other science missions?

Anyone booked their summer vacation on beautiful Enceladus? Do they accept quatloos "Q1,000" at the souvenir shops?

Not sure about medals, but we do have the American Innovation Dollars coming up.

The Congress will eventually authorize some obscure programs for more quarters.... get your requests on the lists.... Sooner or later it will be revealed that David Bowie's body is in the space suit in the Tesla... probably get a coin for that.... ;) Cheers, RickO

yes, on the next series of quarters, right after:

    50 states state bird
    50 states state reptile
    50 states state fossil
    50 states oldest resident
50 states each and every resident on a coin.

    I hope not.

They'd be designed by 5 different people (with 5 sets of initials) and would probably have a rainbow on 'em.

(BTW, I'm still waiting for the tours to Endor...)

I doubt it. Too politically incorrect.

If it did, I'd be one to buy it. US Mint needs some fresh blood for their coin designs. I'm tired of seeing all the recycled overused ones. FYI, the 1 oz silver art bars that came out 30-40 years ago, depicting some of those missions, were very popular and some are demanding a substantial premium.
