Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. That is interesting. There is an odd wear pattern at 12 O'clock, I can see right through it.
I would like to see the US make a bi-metal coin... after we stop making $1&$2 bills.

I doubt the wear is from wearing it. It looks to me like wear from keeping it on a keychain.
