So instead of just the regular W mint Silver Eagle Proofs, it looks like they are starting to sell S Mint ones now? Did this just start? Not another series to collect. :s

Special occasion- Return of the S Proof

2017 S ASE proof was included in two mint offering, both showing as sold out on the mint website:

ITEM 17 RC - 2017 LIMITED EDITION SILVER PROOF SET, 48,906 in sales per the mint website.

ITEM 17 RF - 2017 CONGRATULATION SET, 74,898 in sales per Numismatic News.

Based on the performance of the 1995 W special issue ASE proof, the 2017 S special issue is probably a good coin to have based on it's less than 125K mintage. Wish I had done this research before they sold out.

"Money does not care about speeches on morality. Capital asks whether the rules will remain the same tomorrow. With inflation, people assume price is the problem, and propose regulation—but price is simply the message." - Martin Armstrong

This was known back in October when the product schedule was released.

(And in case you missed it, they released the S-Mint ASE last year.)

This is the first year they'll sell it as a stand-alone product...

Yea I didn't know it until I just looked at the product schedule for 2018. I noticed they were put in the Limited proof sets. Now to decide whether I want to start collecting both mints or just stay with my W mints.

Well, stay tuned. I don't think there'll be a mintage limit on the S-mint coin, but if the Mint does only do, say, 100K, it might be the hit of the year...

There was an S proof and S RP in the 2012 San Fran and the 2012 C & C set (PF) and as a single S proof in the 2017 Congratulations Set. In addition there was S burnished in 2011 Annie Set

It will be interesting to see mintage limits if any for the 2018
