Grading 2007 penny

You can tell by the responses that your coin is probably not worth grading.

You know what, Let's think this out together. Say it costs between $19 and $36+ for grading and postage both ways. Many of us have a jar we toss these coins into so there may be some older dated coins in as new mint red condition.
You are one of the lucky one's to have one. Now consider the big picture:

1. Even common coins with "monster mintages" are worth (?) - often sell for high prices to collectors who are forming a collection. These coins need to be in virtually perfect condition, MS-68 or higher. Your coin is not that nice

2. Asking if ANY COIN is worth grading is a question that depends on the individual and the "why." Someone forming a collection may like your coin and want it in a slab at any grade. To me it is spending money. Nevertheless, fifty years from now, the decedents of the collector who had the coin slabbed may be pleasantly surprised at its value.

Now for a very short grading lesson. If you can look at a modern coin dated after 2000 and see more than one very tiny mark on it, it is probably not worth the cost of slabbing UNLESS you wish to for whatever the reason. Note; There are many exceptions to this. You'll need to learn for yourself or with a numismatic mentor what they are.
