If you look at the coin under the toning, which I'm not convinced is natural, it grades MS-63. If you think that it's an MS-65 or 66, then you are one of those people who thinks that a chuck steak on a sizzling metal platter is really USDA prime.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
63 maximum and I too am not fond of the toning. You need to compare this coin to those with the Northern Lights pedigree before you proclaim a coin like this as "coin of the year".

Mr. Bill, If anyone figures out how to duplicate this obviously 100% naturally toned coin, they will be able to amass enough money to buy every coin you ever owned! Ah, that is until the market swings back to "blast white" as it has before in my lifetime.

I grade it: WOW!
BHNC #203
technically an ms64, but most likely graded ms65 due to the beautiful toning.
I hope it's not an ms66.
It is an eye appealing 'WOW' coin!!

Agree with the 64, not crazy about the tone pattern.
I apologize for this, but is liberty blowing her nose?
Nice!
Technically an MS63 .... Cheers, RickO

That’s coin of the year? Not even close. MS64.
Looks gorgeous. And I agree with @DoubleEagle59. If that were white it would probably be a 64 but should have been color-bumped to a 65.
Whose coin is that?
ms 64
Looks 63 to me.
Nice bag ton too!
Does it have a reverse?
Hard to GTG without seeing it.

MS64 for a "chattery" field in front of Liberty and a couple of marks on her cheek & neck.
Lovely colors!

Coin of the year? LOL. 65 shot at 66 for me.
I'm in the 63 camp.
Maybe 62-63. I don’t get it
Tone does not always equal eye appeal

Yup 64!
63 for me. Is that damage or fingerprint in field in front of nose?

Abstaining since I think I remember the coin from an auction, but I love the color and the textile pattern.
The obverse looks 63 to me. The reverse looks MIA.
It's not a wow coin to me but I can see why some would be taken by it.
Lance.
PS Fingerprints do not look like gouges. Those marks are deep into the surface and detracting.
Coin of the year. You gotta love it. I’m afraid to guess.

I like the coin, but it should grade no higher than a 64, which means little since the $$$ here is in the toning anyway.
If it was white, MS 64. As is an MS 65 be my guess.
63 masquerading as a 64 for the color.

62-63 camp. The field and cheek bag scratches drag it down.
I'm sure for you this is the "coin of the year". It has very pretty colors.
