I would pick up a raw one, but probably the rejects. That are not worth grading. But yes I agree the prices will come down to earth soon.

With a few exceptions, they always do.
I see no real price drop based on a few EBay sales. Bullion Exchange selling $1448.00 for bullion coin seems high. Now if they were selling graded 70 @ $1200.00 to $1300.00 then that is a price drop, and to prices when I bought mine. That is what APMEX AND MCM were selling there's at and they have pretty much sold out. Mcm claims when they sell out this go around there not getting any more. We will see about that down the road.
But you did a good job compiling evidence to support your argument.
Toward the end of the madness I paid $1650,00 for a PCGS Black Label limited to 500 and right APMEX sold out of the Black Label. I am sure they have more coming. If you read the description of the Ms70 the seller was all over about the problem with the ring dings. You never list all possible things Wrong with your product and it still sold for 1735,
While I do like the reverse very much, I will not buy one just for that. Now, if they put that reverse on the ASE I would definitely buy one.... or more.... of those. I just prefer gold and silver. Cheers, RickO
Dealers are playing with supply/demand and those >69 will hit the market as raw after the sorting is completed. I like the PCGS "Black Label" but it is $2200 last time I checked.

The link is in the 1st post 3rd one down it sold for $1395.00 on the bay. If you look be twine the "T" and the "L" on the obvers you can see what looks like a dried dip stain like when you use acetone and it pools up on the edge, Hey but it sold over spot.

I'm planning to wait 5 years. If I'm right and they stop using Platinum/Palladium in cars, I'm thinking those metals will tank. If they don't, oh well.

Yes I will have to agree the NGC's coins are slowly dropping. I don't know why I bother with them from now on I am going to stick with the First Strike labels. Their holding strong about $200.00 over the NGC's. I do like the NGC'S design but they must pump out more than the PCGGs. Just a 24-7 Production Line. When the tech drops dead they sweep them aside and order another to work.

I guess I'm late to the party...why didn't the mint sell these through their website? Did they just pump these through authorized dealers? I checked the US mint site to check availability, and read something about purchasing through an authorized dealer??? What??? Is this typical? Have they done this with other offerings?

Don't freak out Gluggo and PocketArt. It's been this way for a long time. All US Mint bullion coins are sold this way. Collector version ( unc and pf ) are sold through the mint's store, both on line and at mint gift shops.

Just to jump in, if they are just "regular bullion coins", they shouldn't have been in such a limited release.
@shorecoll they are but aren’t. Production limits are set based on prior years sales trends. No need to produce more then what the market supports.

Understood jwitten! You know Ebay did charge me like $520.00 for 3 other sales I did. Not the green labels but the NGC label I posted pictures earlier in the other post but I would gladly from now on use that BST. I do hope your got a good price. We did buy earlier here when we were posting I think the Black Label was about $1400.00 Unfortunatly I think I ended up paying around $1600+. for mine.
All because I fell for the other labels. I will learn stick with the good label!

Gluggo. Just a friendly advise. If you're a regular retail guy buying and selling on eBay you need the coin to go up around 20% just to break even after all ebay/paypal/shipping fees. It's a tough game to really win big. Good luck with thus awesome coin, I do love it but would not bet my house on it :-)

LOL...... coin club sold 40 of the 70s ....coins will correct lower ..not enter a smashdown .. 2 keys ..only 15,000 .. but Palladium set to takeoff higher .......in a parabolic move ?
Ultimately palladium (and platinum) will begin to move down. Demand will be dropping as electric cars become more common.
Even a short term move in the price of palladium won't affect the cost of the eagles. The premium is too high and it is more likely that the premium simply shrinks. They aren't selling as bullion so they won't move as bullion.

So are all of these graded? Are any offered as RAW? How did these sell from the mint, in rolls? And if a RAW one does exist, would it be picked over/flawed as all the really nice raw ones would've been sent in for grading? I sometimes prefer a raw coin over slabbed but I've only seen these in graded offerings...

There are still raw ones on ebay. I bought 3 raw and submitted them for grading before the first strike deadline. I thought they would be the rejects, but ended up getting 2 70's and one 69.

Its happening! They (Capitol Mint) lowered their price $500.00 now instead of $2900.00 you can get this for $2500.00. Still to expensive but its starting!

I have a feeling in a month or two you can buy the 70s for 1600 and the raw and 69s will be at 1300. All the flippers are getting them back from grading and sellers will out pace buyers. We will see.

I cant wait that Long ended buying another one tonight but the price was about $300.00 cheaper. It was a signed autograph one by some dude don't remember his name but it was also a black labeled PCGS. Got if for about $1700.00 now I am really in debt! Looks like maybe a $50.00 drop so far. Time will tell you think the excitement should have worn off by now. Nothing more exciting coming this year at the Mint unless your into the quarter sales. I don't think its a big deal right?
