This one happens to be the best raw Indian I've ever owned, the price was incredible and it happens to have some light clashing! Definitely one of my favorite purchases!

Actually, while THAT one took VERY little time to become a "necessity" it was the 1848 CAL gold that took only the time required to make the call. I have wanted an 1848 CAL for longer than I care to even think about. Shoot, I'm almost old enough to have got one from the mint.

I was in the market for a nice Type I Standing Lib Quarter and saw this when Tom Bush sent out an e-mail.
His photos are great, and in-hand it did not disappoint. SLQ's just don't come like this. It lives in a PCGS MS66FH CAC holder.

I had been looking for a nice 13-S T2 for my album for a long time. (Well it seemed like a long time, as I was going to 7-8 shows per year). I liked this one the moment I saw it, I was only hoping the price would be right. And it was! Thanks Ed Hipps. It's a late die state but very clean and nice luster in hand.

It is hard to say, “Yes, I’ll take” in thirty seconds on a coin that sells in the mid 5 figures, but that’s how I was on this one.
The detail is dead on for the AU-55 grade, and the coin is crusty, but not ugly.

Easily this one... based on an auction image alone. While I asked a highly trusted dealer to bid in person on my behalf, it was a done deal the first moment I saw it.
And this one, which I immediately purchased raw at a Baltimore show @ 10 years ago.

I purchased this 1798 B-19, BB-106 Silver Dollar "raw" in a Heritage Auction sale in May 1999. I knew from research that this coin existed and watched for it to come back on the market for around 15 years. I collect the Dollars of 1798 by die marriage, and this is the example of this die marriage that I wanted for my collection. When it came up for auction I knew I had to buy it.
I stored this coin wrapped in tissue paper in a 2X2 envelope until I sent it in to PCGS for grading in 2016, and then sent it to CAC. It is graded PCGS AU58 (CAC). It pedigrees to the George Hatie Collection.
Note the auction photo was taken by Heritage Auctions with the coin sealed in a plastic flip!

Not a coin but definitely coin related and I recently sold it in the NCNA Benefit Auction..... "12 inch bronze plaque that was used as part of the sign for "The Liberty Trust Company," and a bank bag that bears the bank's logo which is the same design."
