Why in the world would you want to send in a 2015 Dime. Buy one already graded for a few bucks.

Absolutely no. Minor mint errors/varieties are just that, minor and are not worth the cost of having them slabbed.

I have submitted coins that cost close to what they are worth, sentimental coins.
but a lot of times it is just as satisfying to place it in a flip or an album.

It is possible to have a coin with sentimental value that is not in a holder. You can keep it in an airtite or one of those self-slabs if you are really concerned about safe-keeping.
For some reason, these are quite common especially with 2015-P.
I have had some luck selling really mushy-looking ones with much loss of detail for $3-$5 each.
One was so bad, the date was just a shadow and the mintmark was gone.

The way the light hits the coin in the picture makes the legend,date appear much more visible.
