@BruceS no visible signs were I was at in Polanco or in Sante Fe where my office is at. The only reason I was at this hotel in Mexico City is that we sponsered a rock concert in that area last night.
@ParlousJoe. I wasn't there for the Northridge quake but that was intense. The house next to mine in Studio City slid down the hill to its demise killing all in the house. No one has rebuilt there since.
I'm actually going to the Patroits- Raiders game on Nov 19 in Mexico City. I just coudnt figure out why Rams Cheerleadeders were there at this particular time. As you probably know 90% of Mexican's are Cowboy fans. It's one of the few things I dislike about Mexico.
Thanks for the well wishes. It's TRULY appreciate it. Me of Black Cloud

Mark, very sorry to hear about what happened to your neighbors in Studio City, that's a hard one to hear about. Glad to hear that you are ok down there in Mexico at the present time and hopefully not too many people were hurt or killed in that quake. I think I have heard on the news that they have found 57 or 67 people killed at this time, one is too many. I'm sure it will be pretty cool to go to a game down there and what the atmosphere will be like with the people down there, have fun. I assume your a fan of one of those teams that will be playing and sorry to hear that if you are lol j/k with you. The Patriots game was really good game last night.
Normally on this website, I'd ask you to post a pic of the coin. But I'm sure most of us here wouldn't mind if I asked you to post a pic of the "cheerleaders in baby-dolls" instead!! Glad to hear you're ok!
Given that the view earlier this year for you was of hills on fire in So. Cal., if there are any serious rains this winter you'll probably be able to add mudslides to your list of disasters for 2017.
First time I was in an earthquake I was on the throne, and was thinking something on the order of... "Not now God, not now".
Mark: Glad you are OK. That is big rocker for sure.
BTW, whoever mentioned it: The Northridge quake was no where near 7.9. That would have been pretty bad if so. 6.7 as I recall...that's nearly 20 times less powerful...roughly.
I will be at the Long Beach Show on Saturday. I'll be in Milan Sept 16 and back to Mexico City on Sept 20.- 28. I will be at the Mexico Coin Show on Sept 22 ( for real). Please plan accordingly and hide the woman and children now.
Sheet. Someone just told me we have a hurricane or two heading in Mexico's direction and one is aptly named Jose.

Glad to see from your Long Beach report that all went well this time.
I m really glad that you are okay. An 8.0 earthquake is nothing to be sneezed at. The crime problem in Mexico is bad enough with the State Department warning tourists about going there.

Some irony. I'm on a plane in Frankfort waiting to take off for Mexico City. My wife is in LA ( where we live) and will join me there this weekend. We can run but we can not hide.
