    MS64. I have a PCGS AU58 of this date with similar toning, and it does not compare with this coin, which is free of wear.

    @BillJones , I will add, though I guessed MS63 --

    If this coin has lots of luster in hand, and if it had more flattering (i.e., accurate) pictures, I would have ZERO problem with this coin in an MS64 holder. The strike is superb, the surfaces are clean, and it stands up every bit to the 1860-O examples shown in other PCGS photos which are graded at the MS64 level. The inability to fully assess luster made me put in my conservative guess at MS63.

    It's a stunning coin! :+1:

    What is the green thingy on your coin Bill?

  • rickoricko Posts: 98,724 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Dang... leave the forum for 20 hours and I miss a GTG like this.... Well, no sense in guessing now... it is a definitely a nice coin... in fact, I would have thought a grade higher.... An exceptional specimen Bill... Cheers, RickO

    I do not boycott CAC coins. I buy coins if I like them for the price. I have several CAC approved coins.

    If the sticker is there, that’s fine, but if it isn’t and the coin is okay that’s fine too. If I limited my purchases to CAC approved coins, I would never be able to fill my want lists. Contrary to popular believe, CAC has not seen every certified coin.

    Please help. At the end of page #1 no result posted.
    At the top of the second page Bill posts "TTT" after the member above posted his opinion: "MS64. I have a PCGS AU58 of this date with similar toning, and it does not compare with this coin, which is free of wear."

    Then someone posted the coin has a CAC sticker. Where is the result (MS-64) and the photo? Thanks.

    Really Nice coin Bill. I wish I could see the luster in a photo. I am sure it is very apparent in hand.

    I posted "TTT" at the bottom to get the string at the top of list after I released the grade. In the past some people have put the actual grade at the bottom, which I have found confusing. I modify the initial post.

    Thank you.

    "TTT" = To the top? Think this Through? To thread top?

    "TTT" is done time and time again in the swaps and sales area.
