Post a coin, or something coin related, that you've never posted before.

Not a big fan of these but it looks good and I had it graded anyway. Not mine anymore.

One of my favorite GC "wins". I can't take photos myself to save my life, so the quite good GC pics will have to do.

(Think I posted the obverse picture with a comedic edit in another thread, but never both sides in a "brag post"
This was what got me started on my $5 liberty quest. I bought it with all 24 coins included from Dave Bates in Rochester, NY in February of 1974. Made me wonder how difficult it would be to get the previous 24 coins. Little did I know it would take until April of 2012 after about a 20 year "non-collecting dry spell" to get the last one, a 1892-O, at the GNA show in Dalton, GA.

Captain Cook's crew buried coins at Point Possession to "claim" a portion of Alaska for Britain just two years after the American Colonies established their independence from Britain.

OK, well at least not posted before today. Source: Thompson's "America's Lost Treasure":
Here is the other side:
This 1861 Seated Dollar is a Proof. It held the place for the No Motto type Seated Dollar in my collection for a number of years. A dealer friend told me that this had once been a very nice coin, but a former owner stripped it to make it white. The coin was ruined as a Proof with matte like surfaces because of the severe cleaning. The design devices were still very sharp and well defined, however.
When I purchased an upgrade I put out in my case for sale. It lasted for about twenty minutes at a winter FUN show before a dealer, who sells most raw coins, purchased it for, I believe $1,100. It goes to show that even a messed up, no grade coin can still bring a decent price. This photo is a picture of projector slide which why it looks a bit odd.

11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
I got started collecting by inheriting a large penny collection that had several rolls of late date large cents with many uncs ranging from the 40-50s. I sold them all to pay for the party that was my late teen and early 20s but I bought this as a reminder

Wow, that's great info on the Continental Dollar too. Are there any medals struck with that design? You should post that in this thread for more discussion!
