1844-C $5, not mine unfortunately. Looking at the pic left wing tip to rim crack, eagle neck through center of right wing through first A in AMERICA to rim.

This one is mine, 1844 Philly $5. Crack from the rim at 12:00 to the rim at 6:00. Also one from the eagle throat to the center of the left wing and another weak one from the tip of the center arrow through the I in AMERICA.

Here's some crack in the back!

The 1848 is split in half from 9:00 to 4:00.

The 1855 is split in half from 2:00 to 7:00.

I believe what you have here is more of a planchet defect known as a "Lamination". A die crack relates more to the die itself which would leave a raised metal effect on the coins surface.
