I’ve been looking for a really super nice grade of one of these but never can find one
.
I thought I had a nice photo of the obverse of that one somewhere around here but I cannot seem to find it. I guess I'll have to dig it out for another photo shoot, speaking of which . . . . . . . . . .
I have been playing around with my "coin edge photography" setup. I'm still trying to get the lighting right (and dust eliminated), but what do you think of this one (yes, a thread derail)?
The goal is to get a bit of space between the coin and the image of the edge . . . . . . .
How did you get the space between the coin and edge @ZoidMeister
.
That’s a pretty good image right there. The rest you can prolly fix with imaging software

I will share this secret ONLY with you. I need to take pichers of my setup when I hit the office tomorrow.
Many great coins posted. Here's a proof-like 1944-S JN with 4 die cracks, 3 obv, 1 rev.
Perhaps the #1 1944-S in the world.......IMO, of course.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
Superb examples everyone! I wish I had the photography skills to participate.

There is a little die crack on my cc Morgan
.
.
I think that is a die CLASH and not a crack.
Here are some pronounced die clashes (highlighted in yellow).

I think your right, the lines light up with the obvious when I flipped the coin over.
.
You do have an early die crack from the AM of America through the eagles wingtip to the edge on that coin as well.
Die clash and die crack . . .

Nice coin @leothelyon but where exactly are those die cracks? The right click thingy isn't working for me.
