For those going to the ANA, when you stop by the US Mint's booth to see the '74D aluminum cent and the 1933 Saint-Gaudens double eagles, take a gander at the 4-medal American Liberty set they're supposed to have there. I'm interested to know how the finishes look and if the medals are all identical...
Anyway, at this rate they'll reach 50K for the stand alone in about 20 weeks, still doable within this calendar year.

(50K is the number I think will be sufficient to bring the price down in a couple of years. Yes, I'm still railing about the price...)

Not much profit on a 70 for MCM. The ship is sinking before the journey has begun!!
I purchased for my collection, goes up, down sideways and back, ok with me.
For my collection...

Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody and be perfect !
Just left the US Mint gift shop in Philadelphia. They had tons of the 225th medal. I got 2.
I bought 5 and then, with much delight, woke up.
Just delivered by a uniformed employee of a quasi government organization.
Your medal was delivered today?

Yes it was. A beauty. The drawing on the mint page doesn't do it justice. Deep mirrored field, frosted bust, mirror stars. Quick shots with my phone.

It's really looking ugly. (The sales, not the coin.)
I hope this is due to returns. I'd like at least 50K sold so these are at a more reasonable price in a couple of years.
Sales for this medal sure do seem to have its ups and downs...
