Although he does not post much (judging from his profile), this must be an inside joke between the both of you.

As a man of few words myself, I shall post a comment:

The forum is a better place when we discuss the one coin imaged by the OP rather than all the coins added to the thread unless it is one of the threads that asks for coins to be posted in which case the more the better because that allows all of us to see neat coins that belong to other members who took the time to image them as a way of education us and keeping the thread or discussion going for several pages which is generally a good thing as long as no trolls join in and no arguments are started by members who have known each other for a long time and generally use the forum to one-up each other about some trivial thing on a posted image that only they care about.

Moderators ban happy i would say quite the opposite. Look how long that infamous Roosevelt Dime thread ran and proably got banned because he unflattering comment about a certain dealer.

Sadly, I am the most entertained during the few days just before a thread gets poofed and people get banned. When passions are running high.

Not at all. We have never really communicated. Regulated has been posting more then usual lately and I for one appreciate it. I wanted him to know that. I hope he continues. Not only does he have a great sense of humor he is as knowledgeable as they come in a lot of areas that aren't in my wheelhouse. I truly appreciate the discourse in the discussions he's involved in and since my area of interests are shifting going to school on guys like McCarthy is priceless. Now if only JK would come out of semi coin retirement. I miss him.

Before CAC existed, or at least before it took control of so many hearts and minds.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

when everyone respects others for what they are,
for the knowledge they have...or not have.
Irrelevant how long they are collectors,
how rich or poor they are...
How easy they understand explanations or not, or how high level their numismatic understanding is
and how familiar they are using high level numismatic terms and expressions.
when we respect and support that a young 8 year old collects circulation many diverted from his allowance because simply, he has great enjoyment doing so.... and wants to become a member here.

LOL. Someone on another thread posted that no matter the subject or the coin being discussed on CU the thread often evolves into a discussion about CAC. I have not been here long enough to know.

Here is one...The forum is a better place when the OP's discussion is not hijacked.

Please think before you post in reply. Due to the OP's question, IMO, no highjacking has occurred in this thread. Until:

Parting shot: A CAC sticker goes on the slab from PCGS. The TPGS got their money. They MAY have gotten more money on the same coin (prior submissions) before it finally received the sticker. I should think CAC was a parasite in a symbiotic relationship w/PCGS rather than a competitor!

I think of it this way. A sticker means the coin is more likely to be regraded and regrades mean more revenue ;)

When your able to see the members handle that flagged you for abuse for no good reason.

Edited to add: I was alerted from a nice member that there is a way of seeing who flagged you.

Doing what's said below from the Reactions section on your wall:

If you click "Abuse" one post will come up. If you click "Flag" for that post then a dropdown menu appears and you will see that "Abuse" was hit. Simply move your cursor over "Abuse" and the name of the person who chose this option will appear.

Regulated has been around here a bit longer, and so there are many here who are well acquainted with him. You could introduce yourself in person to him if you visit Kagin's table at a major show.
Regulated is usually so busy with his position that time doesn't afford him as much opportunity to post here as many would like.

ellipsis aren't used in a thread title post. MHO

The principal (and traditional) function is to indicate intentional omission of a word, section or a whole section of text.
