This one belonged to my mother's Great-Aunt Belle (I remember her), an Irish-immigrant toughie in the Texas Panhandle. She was a secretary for Charles Goodnight, the famous cattle baron, and was the postmistress and even sheriff of her one-horse town (Channing) during the World War. She was a 5' sweetie. I remember it took two shots of Thorazine for the med deputies to haul her off to the rest home from her house (my aunt was concerned because she was leaving the gas on in the stove). RIP
Having lurked for a long time, I just know that somebody is going to come along here and call all of these coins fakes, just because they are Mexican...
The move star image is from Treasure of the Sierra Madre - great film from Warner Bros. starring Humphrey Bogart. I think it was directed by John Huston
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
I liked Elliasberg collection of late 19th and early 20th century Mexican gold 1 peso coins. I thought I had a solid chance at the Elliaberg auction 10 years ago in acquiring all of them until I found that Andy Lustig was right there partially standing in my way.
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

A pretty ordinary Mexican coin:
Mexico peso 1924
It's a movie star:

❤️❤️❤️ Wowzers! I love this coin!
.
The 1771 Pillar Dollar and two 1871 Cap and Rays 8R are special to me as they are 200 and 100 year birth coins respectively.
Cheers,
Jeff
Not quite as old as some of the others, but certainly Mexican (and not too pretty). The lack of detail is not damage - this is a sandcast coin.
The coin is a Sinaloa GB 406. Lots more RevMex coin at my website:

Another RevMex I particularly like (1915 Oaxaca LV 1):

Here are a few old Mexican coins that earned dual citizenship!
The first two had their passports stamped for entry to Jamaica --
And this one has King George III of England tattooed on the neck of King Charles IIII of Spain --
There's something about an 1804 Dollar and 1804 Gold that is compelling. Of course, these are from Mexico:
Here's a coffee plantation token that I've always liked.

Wow! Just ran across this coin. It's gorgeous!
