You are correct the eBay coin is a counterfeit. The barcode on the eBay coin comes up as a blank and clearly does not match the HA coin. How did you pick up on the counterfeit that made you check the HA coin?
Ditto. IMO, genuine '29's look soft and fake to the naked eye.
eBay listing + bad pictures almost always = bad coin
I'm surprised how many bidders there are!
Honestly- It was an intuition look at the slab. Cant really pinpoint it. Then when looking at the pictures, it looked cleaned and out of focus.
Last was on any $30,000 purchase I am going to make sure to do all possible homework
That cert # matches a coin sold at HA for $29,900. With bidding just under $10K and 10 minutes left, I'd rather go to the casino and sit at the black-jack table. I don't like my odds.

Ended with under a minute to go. Way to go, guys.

Nuked by eBay it seems.
Here's another. Could be the same seller but with a different Ebay name (from the old fashioned images with time stamp). Also has a previous listing on HA.

wow... that was close. I was watching the auction and it went "poof" with about 30 seconds left... and a bid of $9200. why would anyone use ebay to sell a $30k+ coin?

Wow, this thread should alert all collectors to how prevalent this problem is. If you thought counterfeiting could not affect you, this is a wake-up call. Thanks Joebb21.

thanks thunder. That $10 piece doesnt even come close to be looking genuine
$10 coin is gone.
I was too late to see the original ebay listing.... wow... nuked it with 30 seconds to go?? Great.. .glad that someone was saved a loss.... Cheers, RickO
Thank you Joebb21. It's a good thing to have eyes all around.
What kind of feedback rating did the seller have ?
How can you tell that's a Counterfeit? I guess it just takes time and knowing your coins?
