Anyone else get rambling abusive messages from this user? I got a few nice ones and it looks like he went through all of my last posts to disagree with them. Too funny and now it looks like he is banned. I'm sure he will be back soon.

    Perhaps someday participation here will require more than just an email address to register. I'm sure PCGS recognizes that there is no useful purpose in giving trolls and alts the power to disrupt civil discourse of the hobby.

    This forum is fairly troll free compared to most. If you are being trolled suggest that you just put them on ignore and report them to the moderators. PCGS is not shy when it comes to using the ban hammer.

    I did a screen shot of his one discussion started on the darkside, it was so ludicrous (and clearly using barely disguised naughty words).

    In fact I posted a silly response knowing full well it would be gone soon. S/he was quite certain all of us would die alone, yet our 'wives and children' had to be on to us and our high horse/clown ways, plus something about a select brotherhood circle. Merely pointed out the whole wives/children thing sort of negated the 'die alone' aspect.
    And, for some of us, being a member in a brotherhood would require gender reassignment surgery. In my case that likely WOULD result in the 'die alone' part as I'm pretty sure if I had that kind of surgery it would be a deal breaker for my husband.

    The point was curiosity. Would the inevitable 'disagree' (if s/he wasn't banned first) stick once the whole thread disappeared? So, @Boosibri, do you still have those disagrees? BTW, according to the now deleted post, it was only the most egregiously clownish members of the 'brotherhood' that garnered the direct messages. Congratulations :D.

    There is one guy who is always after me because I'm not in the "CAC is always right" herd. When he made a reference to my age, I threw a flag on him. I avoid doing that - it was the first flag I've ever thrown - but after a while, enough is enough.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Yes, I flagged the abusive post on the Darkside. There was an insult posted in keets' 2c piece thread as well.

    Obvious trolling with no subtlety at all, so I managed to restrain myself from replying. I knew this one was destined for a fast flameout.

    It will be back under a different ID later.

    I suspect that the dear deleted was having a bad day and needed to get attention from somewhere. From reading between the lines of the OP, it appears that s/he may have started a thread that didn't get the attention s/he felt was warranted, Or maybe mom didn't get powdered sugar to go on his favorite Eggos this am.

    Always interested in St Louis MO & IL metro area and Evansville IN national bank notes and Vatican/papal states coins and medals!

    I did not receive any PM's or disagrees... (I already have 229 of those)....I think many of those are from the trolling when the new forum was initially launched,... never really tried to find out.... Anyway, that may be a record flame out...not sure... Sounds like those PM's were interesting....I do not understand people like that. Overall, this is a really good forum with rational members.     yes, I noticed that and flagged it, strange reply. the nature of the reply leaves me with no doubt that it is a former banned member who has been around for a long time, probably has an axe to grind and came aboard for that purpose as derryb states above.

    @Boosibri.... No.. no certificates or badges.... I guess those are like a demerit, though, in my opinion, someone may rationally disagree with me and I may learn something....
