I see no logical reason to buy a 1/10th ounce silver. They're cute. But unless the premium is in the 10% or less range, they don't make a lick of sense.

Of course at 5 pcs for $10. That's $2 each. The premium is not high at all but would you step up and buy for 4 for $10 that's $2.50 each. Just curious on folks reaction.

$2.50 per coin works out to $25 per ounce which is currently more than $7 per ounce over melt. Too big of a premium for a silver round in my opinion. I can see these being popular with preppers who would buy them for use as barter after the economy collapses though.

Maybe for some one or two for a ball marker or the cute factor.
For me, I'll put my money in 90% dimes.
I wouldn't buy your 1/10 for more than spot.

I like the design, but I can't justify it as another line item for investment purposes. It might be a decent novelty/advertising piece, but the premium will be a non-starter (for me). If it becomes an annual (dated) offering, it might develop a following, but there is plenty of hard competition, in my opinion.

You'll sell lots of these at $2 each.... At $20/oz. you're competitive with larger bullion as it's pretty hard to find silver eagles for that price around here and most will know they'll likely pay a slight premium for the fractional pieces anyways.
But higher than that, you'll still sell them, but the number of pieces you sell will drop off quickly I think.

I don't see how you can make $2 work even at current spot price. I really like 1 side of the coin but it seems as though it is made up of 2 reverse sides. Many props to the risk taker , as a the do'er i applaud you sir.

I like the design, I'd get 10 of them for a round ounce, I'd pay $25-$30 for that, they look cool, but I would not see buying large amounts of them.

Only interesting for those that frequent the place, imho.
I look at a lot of online shops, but don't always find things for me. I wouldn't see myself "buying" a store token for that reason (I don't collect things like that either).
If it makes business sense, do it.

Something was said earlier in the thread by Scarsdale about 5 for $10. I offered $1,000 for 500 of them (neat item to sock away in the safe) and was turned down. I love them @ 15% over melt......I think they are a total novelty @ 70% over melt.
Wow, quite a bit more than the 5 for $10 or the 4 for $10 first mentioned by the OP.

Got mine today. Nice design and will make great gifts for some of my token-collecting friends.
For the detractors, Barndog hit it on the head. These are nice advertising pieces, and token collectors will go for them. As an investment? I don't think that that's what Jon had in mind for them.
On the other hand, there are plenty of these types of advertising items from yesteryear. Very collectible today.

Neat item as a "gift with purchase" type storecard, and would be even better with a "good for $3 or 3% off (whichever is greater) in trade at the issuer's coin store.

This offer, unfortunately, turned into a farce. I was looking at purchasing a few at a reasonable price.
I liked the design and wanted to support a forum member.
I think they are well done and look nice, premium is just a little high for me. I liked the original price.
I think this was a big mistake by OP. Should have never said anything to begin with! At $33 or $50 an ounce, I think it will be a hard sell!
