  I'd guess most early US silver coins, if truly left original, would not be very pretty.

  Not in the same league as the coins in the photos posted above, but here is a 1968 proof set with all 5 coins having two sided frost and mirrores fields plus two sided gorgeous multicolored toning on the nickel, dime and quarter.

  The photos are not the great. In hand the set is a stunner.
