I am rooting for New England. I lived there for 24 years. During that the time team had 2 and 12 seasons and were losers for many years when the Sullivan family owned it. One year the coaching so bad they could barely get an offensive play started without a motion penalty. That was going on in week 12 of the season! Their success has only been since the early 2000s.

One year, after Bill Parcells was hired as the coach, they surprised everyone and got into the Super Bowl. Parcells decided he was going to resign after the game. It was supposed to be a secret, but one of the Boston sports writers got wind of the story and made that the news for Super Bowl week instead of celebrating the fact that the team had accomplished so much after low expectations. Some of the Boston sportswriters are among the biggest problems professional sports teams have in Boston. Some of them make their negativity the story and help to pull the team down. At any rate the team and the coach were totally distracted, and they got blown out in the big game.

What I'm saying is that this team has not been historically the juggernaut that it is today. There were many lean years, and the fans who have followed them since the 1980s, as I have, know that. When Brady, and especially Belichick, are gone, we could go back to "the bad old days." As most football fans can tell you, getting into the Super Bowl is a rare treat.

The Patriots have a bad habit of letting their pass defense go in big games. Given the talents of the Atlanta quarterback, I would favor Atlanta if I were a betting man.

Still I hope that the Pats win #5 and cement the fact that Belichick is the greatest professional coach of all time. It's not just what he does on the field; it's also his personnel decisions, both with players and assistant coaches. The team is under the pro football salary cap and yet look at the records he has set over the years.

I'd like to see Atlanta win, but wouldn't mind watching Goodell have to hand the trophy over to Brady.

Bradshaw and Jimmy Johnson and plenty of others who played and were involved in the game agree with Bill as do I

During the Belichick/ Brady era they have had 50 different Offensive lineman, almost 50 different Wide outs and nearly 40 running backs. How many of these players will be in the HOF? He's done it with a ton of cast offs. Players other scrapped. Look at the roster the other great head coaches had and the sheer amount of HOFERS.

    Do your job. Go Pats

Fumble and score was the beginning of the end. The interception and return sealed it. Sadly it's another boring Super Bowel except for Atlanta fans.

You are right. The last one made a political statement. That crap will never get into whatever hair I have left. That ad was totally a stupid move by the company that paid millions for it.

They can't even make an extra point. It's like the fix is in to make it less than interesting. When you see an less than decent effort like this, you just say to hell with it.
