Thread for Only Toned Coins

This thread will be for only toned coins. Anyone and everyone is welcome to post their toned coins. So, here it is. I'll start by posting a 1961 PR67BN Electric Blue fully toned Lincoln Cent which I cherry picked at a show for $3, sent to PCGS and subsequently sold for about $130.

"Since toning is hated on these forums,..."
I've been active on these boards a long time, likely longer than you, and have never come away with the same impression that you have appeared to form. Obviously, not everyone here loves toned coinage and not every toned coin is loved, but toning has strong support.

I'll take your word for it, but nevertheless after 28 people comment "UGLY!" On a post of a radical toner, this is the result...a thread only for toners!
If you have viewed any other threads with toning of color you would see that it is well received.. A large majority of people here like toning, but that Franklin was a weird color and pattern. I almost would have guessed it was buried in the dirt.. Not the toning here most people like, but if you do then more power to ya
I had also commented on that coin stating that the look wasn't for me, but I also realize how toning can elicit personal and emotional responses in folks. Here is one of mine that some people do not like, but I like enough to place in my theoretical Box of 20-

I like toning, and I like that 49-D Quarter!

I agree with Tom Bush, not everyone likes toned coins,
and not all toned coins are appreciated however, most
agree that a toned coin can be a thing of beauty.
I am not a fan of Morgans, as there are (seems like) over
a Million of them for sale - I usually only look at two dates:
1889 - my Grandfather's birth year ... And 1891 - my Grandmother's
birth year ....
My only newps for their sets:
This 1891-CC is not heavily toned - but at least its not blast white either !!

Justin,
that 1929 $2.50 is incredible! I don't think I have ever seen a gold coin like that!
I'll take your word for it, but nevertheless after 28 people comment "UGLY!" On a post of a radical toner, this is the result...a thread only for toners!
overall, the members of this forum tend to view toned coins with appreciation. however, we will also call-it-like-we-see-it when asked for an opinion and disagree with another member regarding the "beauty" of any specific coin or design. regarding that "UGLY" coin you referenced, many of us simply didn't like the look of it, the color palate it displayed and the darkness of it. in short, it wasn't very eye appealing.
I don't recall anyone saying anything disparaging about you or your choice of toning. if you like it, good. many of us simply said we didn't like it.
Wow that 1953 washing quarter reminds me of a winter night sky beautiful

Justin took the pictures for me, but the coin is mine (John). It is probably my favorite coin!

I just plucked this from a $5 proof set. 1969-S FS-501, PCGS has only graded 2.

Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
To the OP - you need to get some better pictures of those toned coins. For some reason, taking pictures at an angle makes them look AT.
