@boyernumismatics - I hope this thread softens your opinion on your perception that the board doesn't like toned coins. In fact, I'd say just the opposite (as others have indicated) the board generally does love toned coins, you can see many in this thread that are more representative of the style of toning the board generally prefers.
@keets had responded in your other thread that the toning on that 55 Franklin was nearing environmental damage, I agree with that perception based upon my (pretty extensive) experience of attempting to remove toning of that type. The darker portions of toning shown on that Franklin could very likely not be removed, and are etched into the surface of the coin.
I understand that you may not care whether it can be removed and would have no interest in removing the toning as you found it pleasing, but the fact that the toning is a permanent fixture on the surface of the coin is indeed indicative of environmental damage.
That being said...I am a fan of toned coins, including these that I own or have owned:

I had also commented on that coin stating that the look wasn't for me, but I also realize how toning can elicit personal and emotional responses in folks. Here is one of mine that some people do not like, but I like enough to place in my theoretical Box of 20-
Lots of nice coins on this thread. The PanPac half and 1872 half stand out. Lots of nice photography. A few folks over-juice stuff, but but most are probably pretty accurate.
