Tonight I went 0/2 in two different auctions. I was the under bidder in both. The first one went for 2.01 x PCGS Price Guide and the second one went for 2.61 x the PCGS Price Guide. When I bid they always go high!

Getting excellent coins at average prices infrequently happens
There aren't that many excellent coins out there right now within the reach of the average collector, imo, and you're far more likely to pay a strong premium for a slightly better than average coin at best, and be buried in it.
