Vern - finally some of your own stuff and all great looking coins as I figured, like the 1894 quarter real pretty but I know it's a bit too shinny for your taste.
Mike - Sounds like a great deal on the two quarters, the 1892 is just a beautiful, great color.
We have a show coming up July 29th, met Dave Earp at the last one I attended a few years back, hope to see him again at this one. The Missouri Numismatic Society"s yearly is usually a good place to find a nice AU at a very good price for my collection. Hope to have something to post from the show, Vern, not too far from you 180 tables or so.
Dave - It's been a few years since I've made it to St Louis. I think I'll ask Keith if he wants to take a road trip, and I'll let you know if we're coming. And thanks for your comments on my coins.

I like seeing a few Liberty Nickels in this thread every once in a while. Here is my 20th Century Set Liberty Nickel. She has a couple of hits on the cheek, but I really dig the tone;

Jeff - a couple of real nice dimes, I like the turquoise spotted coin, kind of unique I don't think I've seen that color stand alone like that on a coin before.
oih82w8 - Beautiful nickel, colors just seem to blend in together so flawlessly.
Vern...NICE Quarter !! Yum !! As mentioned, it's nicer than the assigned grade.
OIH82W8 - lovely nickel - it's refreshing to see the occasional toned V Nickel.
Jeff.... Another nice pick up. I also have a 1901 ( ANACS 58 ) Dime getting cracked out and being submitted to our hosts -
I believe I have posted it before ( I'll look up the sellers' images and post them later ) . This 1901 Dime is more uniformly Golden toned, not rim toned as yours. Good luck on the submission. Glad you're finding nice raw Dimes !! You are having better luck than I am !!

My Barber Dime set is just starting out- I need almost all of them! Currently there are 8 or so in at PCGS for grading, and I have another half dozen to send in.
I've cooled off a bit on my Barber Half Everyman set and took up Dimes. All but 3 of my Barber Halves are 55/ 58, almost all of them keepers. I'll eventually upgrade the three below 55 (the '97 S is XF 45, the '09 O is AU 53, and the '13 S is AU 53). I'll upgrade some of the 55's if the right coin comes along at the right price, but I'm quite satisfied with a nice looking 55 and see no need to spend "uber dollars" for a 58.
I may eventually work on completing a Half Proof set (not uber pricey) and will likely upgrade my MS Half set slowly, but I've reached a point where every move I make with the Halves involves BIG dollars. I guess that's why the dimes are fun right now; a nice coin for little $$.
Jeff - I think you'll find that some of those early mint marked dimes are very tough to find in AU, but IMO, that's what makes the collection fun.

You're absolutely correct on the mm Barber Dimes. I'm looking for those in AU (graded or raw), but I'm finding Philadelphia examples. Maybe the 20X mintage has something to do with that.
What's interesting is there are far more nice original skin dimes out there than Halves and Quarters. For whatever reason a lot more dimes escaped the cleaning treatment than it's cousins.

Received the ANA ANAHEIM Stacks / Bowers catalogs yesterday. Getting hard copies is wonderful. I hate their web site - I can never find anything. Who is their cataloguer ? OMG
Regardless, I have found a few coins I can't live without...One Quarter and a half dozen Dimes...all AU 58's....all but one is Internet Only "Back of The Book " material.

Finally have a moment to get back on the Thread. ...A lot of beautiful pieces over the last several days, especially the 96-O Quarter and the 05-S Quarter (a favorite date of mine)... Here is one that I'm "caretaker" of:

This looks like a solid 58 to me, although there's a slight chance it could come back in a MS holder.
