Poll: Which Bust Half grades higher?

I realize the 2nd picture is of better quality, but assume they are both nice original coins. Which grades higher? Or are they pretty much dead even?

Pretty darn close. I like the 2nd better aesthetically as the color is even and attractive.

The second should have a higher market grade. It is more appealing. But I think 40 is too generous. They both are high VF.

2nd one is a nicer coin...not sure if it grades higher or the same as the first but at that level it doesn't matter. The 2nd is nicer.

The pictures make it difficult to tell as they were taken under Much different conditions and the focus on the first one is not a sharp as the second one. The ding on the shield on the first leads me to pick the second, but without both in hand it is impossible to really tell. Maybe if they were both shot under the same conditions I could make a better choice.

The first one looks like it had 1more week in circulation than the second coin. I appreciate both coins, but would lean slightly toward the second coin.

For this variety the difference between a VF30 and XF40 is about $1,000.

Personally, I prefer the first one, but I know nothing when it comes to the opinions of Professional Graders.

I would want to see them both in hand before making the call.

Bottom coin has a better strike.

I say that they grade the same, VF-30. The second one has a stronger strike on the reverse so that one would be my choice.
