    Gaming tokens aren't supposed to look like real money. Cuts into the denial. This, however, is cutting edge. Any historical instance of "stickering" predating this one?

  • Stickered dollars are a known field of exonumia. Cliff Mishler has a collection with hundreds of examples. I don't know how many of them are casino related, but I have seen others.

    That tavern is still in business. It might be worth contacting the owner to see if he knows when those stickers were applied to silver dollars.

    I like the sticker dollars that state the exact location. That one also appears to be in nice shape as the sticker shows only limited wear.
