Perhaps not a scientific survey there! Many are at 58-75 Dollars closing prices on ebay....Single outlier(s) sales by major marketers may or may not be real sales, so what are the real prices one can get one for - that would be the determiner as to"value"?

I would just start them on ebay at 99c, let them rip for what they will bring. Unfortunately for many who bought 70's for big money they would face a hosing.

The seller did well - CDN Bid is $75. He got retail money. If you don't think its collapsing (and that's just my opinion) well go out and buy some then. Not trying to scare you here lol.

Yes they probably sold them in the right window with the right buyer. This is one way you make money on USM products. If someone paid $1800 on one of these they are the end user. The July 11 CDN shows the MS and PF gold at 570 and 640 respectively. I might add $25 - $50 in making an offer for a 70 if this is where the bids are going to settle. My money is on them heading lower.

Raw silver ones are still averaging $80+...which btw, that's approx 75% above issue price. Your definition of "falling big times" has a tabloid ring to it. Raw 50 cent ones, although still available from the Mint, are selling for 30% above issue price. (eBay)

Yes, I know. Nobody buys the Uncirculated version and then there is a "low mintage," and it becomes "scarce" and "valuable." I've seen the Uncirculated version of this coin. It is dull, boring and unappealing. I'd buy pay no more than the bullion price for it; it does not interest me in the least. These Uncirculated coins are for dealers, flippers and speculators who think that "They will be good because they are rare." There is a reason why the Proof coins out sell the Uncirculated coins.
