After I looked at my order yesterday, the shipping date showed 3-28-14. Then when I checked this morning, they are showing to ship out 3-29-14. I remember this happening on another "highly anticiapated" coin not so long ago. This could be pushed out on a daily basis. My feeling is that I don't see these ship for a while. If they do ship sooner rather than later, I'll be the first one surprised!
...and to add, my order 42918XXX was placed at 12:05 EDT.

I got lucky. I got into the waiting room about 10 mins before the opening bell. Once in the waiting room, I was on standby for maybe another 3-5 mins. Once in, I took like 5 minutes to place the order.

No such notice on my P.C. for the $5 gold coins. You do realize that the mint had a glitch yesterday, indicating that the silver unc. were sold out. Try to clear you cache and log back into the Mint's web site and let me know if you're still getting that message.

There is a WAIT LIST indicating that they've accepted orders in excess of 50,000. That means a technical "sellout."
You can continue to place orders and they'll be accepted. However, the fat lady has already sung.

The NGC stuff hit Ebay early this morning, and I think the first gold is also listed...Ambitious pricing at 5K obo...

And NGC does a sloppy job with their labels, buckled look as they don't put them in all the way...

and now the First PCGS enters the Ebay market...and at similar pricing...

I can very honestly say that they look FAR better in person. PCGS just knocked this one out of the park (sorry). The slabs really show the coins off well There is a frosted character to the edges of the slabs that adds to the overall appeal. You all will just LOVE these!

I meant to ask about the hologram. Didn't see it on anything.

I am confused. I had orders confirmed with a number at 1 hour 45 minutes into the sale. My gold is saying backorderd to 6/17. It was 6/15. I have seen this before and it is not a good sign usually. So did the sell out occur within the first hour on the gold Uncs?

I am confused. I had orders confirmed with a number at 1 hour 45 minutes into the sale. My gold is saying backorderd to 6/17. It was 6/15. I have seen this before and it is not a good sign usually. So did the sell out occur within the first hour on the gold Uncs?

According the U.S. Mint Blog the sellout occurred maybe around 6:30 PM EST on the first day of sales for the gold

Check those dates on the "orders" page again....I just got a "backordered" email for all my orders (2pm, 222pm, 455pm) and they are ALL backordered but the dates are reversed

Gold 6/19

Silver 4/14

Doesn't make sense that your order placed well after the sellout would have the gold shipping 2 months before my order placed 2 hours after open

Also, I placed an order on Friday just for the heck of it (2 gold) and that one doesn't even show up..(got a confirming email right after ordering)
