Very happy to see everything of mine passed except 2. One of them was a Greg Norman signed IC from about 20 years ago I got TTM. The other is more puzzling...
I have done private signings with Rickey for several years now, and one of the other items I submitted (and passed) was signed within minutes of this card and in front of me. It was also signed by Tim Raines, which I had him sign in-person when he was with the Yankees many years ago. Oh well.

Good Stuff! Actually that '82 Donruss signed Ripken rookie was purchased off eBay for a whopping $1 in a poorly worded auction (signed in vintage blue ballpoint ink). The Richards, Roberts, Alston & Killebrew cards were all ones that I collected TTM back in the late 70's/early 80's.

11 out 15, not very good compared to my past results, but I'm sending the Aaron and Mays to either JSA or SCG and I'm VERY confident they will pass, considering who I bought them from. The Rozelle I've had for probably 7 or 8 years and it looks as good as all of my ones that have passed before, so I'm unsure about that. The one that puzzle's me is the Clarke Hinkle, how can that come back as inconclusive/unable to render an opinion????? I'm sure they have plenty of examples to compare it to, oh well.....it is what it is!

I think one of the things that authenticators look for is whether the signature seemed to have been written "slowly" or places where the signer may have "paused" mid-auto. So even if the auto is genuine, if the signer did these things for that auto, it will likely fail authentication.
The problem that I see is that it's all subjective. How many times have seen an auto fail, and then you send it back through again and it passes? I know where instances have happened where the autograph was already authenicated as a picture but then was resubmitted as a cut and it failed. They all have plenty of examples to look at on the auto's that are more common but over time all signatures change. For example I have a 3x5 Gale Sayers that was signed in his younger days when he used a different "G" as compared to today where his G pretty much looks like a "9". I would like to get a good explanation on why an autograph may fail but when resubmitted it passes?

Yahtzee! Finally a perfect submission - 14/14. They also managed to spell all of the names on mine right this time! First time that has happened since we did the first one of these group submissions. Sent in a pretty nice run of oldtime coaches (and a few other random HOFers), really excited about the Alex "Babe" Weyand and Gene McEver. I gave my son a dupe I had from the late 70's, HR leaders card with Jim Rice and George Foster on it. Later I met Foster, but didn't have the card with me. A few months after that, I was able to get Rice to sign it for him. Makes me really bummed I didn't get him Foster too. As far as my own collection goes, I have a lot of terrific autos, but all my multi sig items are balls or sticks. Don't have any multi sig cards
Echoing everything everyone else has said, thank you very much, Derrick! I am glad that all of mine came back authentic. The Turk was pretty much only to have it slabbed and protected as it was already authenticated by JSA. And nice to know my 97 Legend autos are legit. I got the Nitchke for a steal of a price and was a bit worried that it might be a fake, but the auto looked good otherwise I would have never bought it.
And to know 100% sure now that my Luckman and Thomas are authentic is a major plus. I forgot to send in my Mac Speedie to be slabbed, but maybe if we get another submission, I can send it in with a few other things. I have something I might want to get turned to a card if I can get it...so hopefully all of that happens before the next submission (if there is one.)

Pumped about the Musial and the Banks. The Anthony Davis was signed IP back in December, glad to get it slabbed. The Glavine was a TTM from about 20 years ago.
How is the Ferguson handled? Do we get a credit for that? There is some Alex Ferguson PSA stuff out there - no idea why they couldn't authenticate this one. Should I send it back through on the next sub?

Disappointed about these two, I got the Stargell in person in 1979, at WQED a public television station in Pittsburgh. The Bradsahaw, I also got in person in 1975 at a Country Music Concert when he was touring promoting his album. Does anyone think that perhaps his signature changed over time and they don't think it's real.

I think pretty much everyone's signature changes. But like I stated earlier, I think it is the experience of the person who is doing the authenticating. Especially with such a large order as this one, 500+ and the short time it took to get it out makes me wonder. IMO I think with this submission there has been more questionable results than in the past.
We can only resubmit them, send them to a different service or live with it. I think a lot of us have resubmitted items that had been rejected in the past and they have passed. Remember, no matter who authenticates an item, it's only an opinion.

Good Stuff! Actually that '82 Donruss signed Ripken rookie was purchased off eBay for a whopping $1 in a poorly worded auction (signed in vintage blue ballpoint ink). The Richards, Roberts, Alston & Killebrew cards were all ones that I collected TTM back in the late 70's/early 80's.

11 out 15, not very good compared to my past results, but I'm sending the Aaron and Mays to either JSA or SCG and I'm VERY confident they will pass, considering who I bought them from. The Rozelle I've had for probably 7 or 8 years and it looks as good as all of my ones that have passed before, so I'm unsure about that. The one that puzzle's me is the Clarke Hinkle, how can that come back as inconclusive/unable to render an opinion????? I'm sure they have plenty of examples to compare it to, oh well.....it is what it is!

I think one of the things that authenticators look for is whether the signature seemed to have been written "slowly" or places where the signer may have "paused" mid-auto. So even if the auto is genuine, if the signer did these things for that auto, it will likely fail authentication.

some of my favs, i collect topps all-rookie trophy cards. sometimes they're the actual rookie card like cox, most others like the trout piazza more line 2nd or 3rd year. and a lidstrom from private signing.

I gave my son a dupe I had from the late 70's, HR leaders card with Jim Rice and George Foster on it. Later I met Foster, but didn't have the card with me. A few months after that, I was able to get Rice to sign it for him. Makes me really bummed I didn't get him Foster too. As far as my own collection goes, I have a lot of terrific autos, but all my multi sig items are balls or sticks. Don't have any multi sig cards
And to know 100% sure now that my Luckman and Thomas are authentic is a major plus. I forgot to send in my Mac Speedie to be slabbed, but maybe if we get another submission, I can send it in with a few other things. I have something I might want to get turned to a card if I can get it...so hopefully all of that happens before the next submission (if there is one.)

Pumped about the Musial and the Banks. The Anthony Davis was signed IP back in December, glad to get it slabbed. The Glavine was a TTM from about 20 years ago.
How is the Ferguson handled? Do we get a credit for that? There is some Alex Ferguson PSA stuff out there - no idea why they couldn't authenticate this one. Should I send it back through on the next sub?

I think pretty much everyone's signature changes. But like I stated earlier, I think it is the experience of the person who is doing the authenticating. Especially with such a large order as this one, 500+ and the short time it took to get it out makes me wonder. IMO I think with this submission there has been more questionable results than in the past.
We can only resubmit them, send them to a different service or live with it. I think a lot of us have resubmitted items that had been rejected in the past and they have passed. Remember, no matter who authenticates an item, it's only an opinion.
