I received the last two packages, and everything is boxed up and ready to go. It'll be dropped off tomorrow at the PO, and it says will be scheduled for delivery Monday (although I'm going to guess it'll be Tuesday). It is going directly to Veronica at PSA, and once I get word from her that the package was received I will post and let you guys know.
PSA requested this submission a little differently than the others. They asked that I put together the submissions in blocks of 3 to make it easier on them. So - there is actually 3 different submission forms (two for card sized items, and another for any item that'd go in a tall boy holder). I do not know if they will all 3 pop at the same time, or if they will pop at different times. But if one part pops I will post as they pop. They will not ship the items back until all 3 submissions have popped. Again I don't know what the reasoning was behind their request (I'm guessing it makes it easier for them to process), but that's the way this submission will be handled.
As I get updates I will update the title of the thread like I did today. I'll post again (and change the title) when I hear from Veronica next week.
Thanks all - and good luck on the submission. Hopefully we do as well as we have in the past. We've batted over 90% on each one I've done so here's to hoping this is no different!

Thanks again for doing this. Not in a hurry to get the two back, but out of curiosity what's the average turn around for poppage on a big order like this?
the first card submission logged today. Veronica has been in Kansas city so I haven't been able to directly talk to her. I'm hoping the second card submission and the tall boy holder submissions log soon. the first is in receive hold status. will update when the other two log or this subs status changes

"I heard back from Veronica today. There are a few index cards that won't qualify for the submission. If you are below, I need to etiher get you to pay the difference in the authentication fee or have each of you pass up the chance to get the following items authenticated. If you pass up the chance, your $10 per item fee will be refunded to you at return shipping time. If you'd like the item authenticated still, I need the difference paypal'd to me ASAP so they can go forward with the submission."
Brandon554: Cy Young - $150 (YES - PAID) Ted Williams - $30 (YES - PAID)
BellagioPokerKing: Arnie Herber: $30 (Yes - mailing the $20)
"I do not have any rhyme/reason/explanation for what qualifies and what doesn't. We've had almost all of these guys done in the past. For whatever reason, this time they either need to be returned unauthenticated or I need the difference in fees from those who would still like them authenticated/encapsulated at the listed price. Please PM me or email at raiderguy10@gmail.com ASAP so we can get the submission rolling.
Thanks, Derrick"

I was able to slip a Turk Edwards, and Arnie Herber in the past as well as others with no problem so I don't blame anyone trying to get Cy Young through.
The DiMaggio is on a reprint card, there's no way that's over the $250 declared value. Oh well, I'll pay for both. It's better than waiting three months only to wait another three.
A big LOL to the guy who tried to sneak in a Cy Young auto!

Derrick ... sorry you have to go thru this trouble.
I will have to agree with Jason on both counts: The item the auto is on is DEFINITELY a factor in the price. A DiMaggio on an index card (and most likely a reprint card) is NOT EVEN CLOSE to a $250.00 item. On the other hand, a Cy Young on an index card is probably a $1,000.00.00 item.
Most of the MANTLE "postcards" that were slabbed by PSA/DNA and sold on eBay were under $250.00. I looked first before I sent this to you.
It originally looked like this:
And I cut it and put a backing on it and now it looks like this:
If anyone wants to give me $250.00 for this item they can have it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I doubt there will be any takers.
Thanks again for all you have done for us with these submissions. Please send the Mantle back to me raw ... no way I'm spending $50.00 on this one.

I don't think they care what the value of the card is as they are authenticating the autograph not the card. So whether it's on a $500 card or a two cent index card I don't think that makes a difference. With that being said, I can't see that a DiMaggio signature is worth $250 or a Willams for that matter unless they are taking into consideration how many fake DiMaggios and Williams are in the hobby and it takes them an extra 10 minutes to check them out.
Catman ... If you take it that way, then it's even more ridiculous that they won't slab some of these on this special. If that is the case, then you should look at what past PSA/DNA slabbed signatures on an index card or piece of paper have sold for. You won't see many Joe D's or MICK's going for $250.00+.

Doug, I'm not saying there isn't a difference in value of a signed index card and a signed card. All I'm saying is that PSA doesn't care if you send them a signed index card or a signed 52 Mantle the authenication fee for the autograph is the same.

Cat ... I understand what you are saying and I agree with you. What I was saying is if they don't care what item it's on, then for the $250.00 max value purpose, it would make sense for them to look at the value of an auto on a piece of paper or an index card. THAT, to me, would be the absolute value of the auto. If we agree on that, then look at final sales on eBay of the autos we are discussing. Most all under $250.00. Although they are doing us a favor (and I appreciate it) by giving us this special, it would be interesting for PSA to explain how they determined that the autos in question are worth more than $250.00. "They didn't want more for that Josh Gibson cut? PM Sent" Of course they don't want more then ten bucks for a Josh Gibson cut! He's only worth 25+ Mantle autograph cuts! Lol they only have a $6000 value on him on their autograph website. You win the biggest kahonies award for even putting that one in the mail box (: I hope they pass it that would be an incredible piece!
